As a Hull Assembler / Hull Fitter, you will be responsible for assembling and fitting ship hull sections according to technical drawings and specifications, working in a dynamic shipyard environment.
Responsibilities
- Assembling and fitting ship hull structures and sections
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings and part lists
- Measuring, cutting, and aligning steel components
- Tack welding and welding in all positions using Covered Electrode (SMAW)
- Grinding, finishing, and preparing metal surfaces
- Operating hand and power tools safely and efficiently
- Following safety regulations and proper use of PPE
Must Have
- Proven experience as a Hull Fitter / Ship Metal Worker
- Ability to work with thin and thick steel plates
- High precision and attention to detail (tolerance requirements)
- Experience with tack welding in all positions
- Ability to perform cutting, grinding, and surface preparation
- Ability to communicate in English (Dutch is a plus)
Nice to have
- Dutch VCA safety certificate
- Driving license
