Join our client, a professional Dutch meat production company operating several modern beef and veal (calf) slaughterhouses across the Netherlands. The company works according to strict quality, hygiene, and food safety standards and offers stable work for experienced professionals in the meat industry.
You will work on a halal slaughter line, handling beef and veal in a fast-paced production environment where precision, discipline, and experience are essential.
Responsibilities
- Performing halal slaughter activities for beef and veal (calf)
- Handling knives and tools safely and efficiently
- Working on the slaughter line according to halal procedures and production standards
- Ensuring correct bleeding and processing
- Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in line with HACCP regulations
Must Have
- Previous experience in a slaughterhouse (minimum a few months required)
- Experience working with beef or veal
- Experience or familiarity with halal slaughter procedures
- Strong knife skills and physical endurance
- Ability to work in a cold and physically demanding environment
Nice to have
- Experience with pork processing

Working Hours
Day shift: 06:00 – 15:00
Additional allowances apply for early morning, evening, night work, and overtime.
Salary & Allowances
Starting salary from €16 net/hour, depending on experience.
Shift allowances:
17% for work between 04:00–06:00 and 19:00–22:00
35% for work between 22:00–04:00
Overtime:
125% after 9 hours per day or 42 hours per week
137.5% on Saturdays
Housing, Transport & Insurance
Accommodation arranged by the employer:
- €96.65/week per person (shared room)
- €135/week for living alone in a double room (subject to availability)
- Maximum 2 people per room.
- Accommodation types include houses, apartments, or hotels (always compliant with legal standards)
- Accommodation does not include bedding, pillows, or dishes.
Transport to work is provided by the company and is free of charge. Travel to the Netherlands is not reimbursed.
Mandatory Dutch health insurance: €38.50/week
